vanilla sponge cake

 

                                      






Ingredients


All purpose-flour/Maida- 1 . 5cups

 

Sugar- ¾ cup

 

Egg-2

 

Baking powder-1 tspoon

 

Baking soda-1/4 tspoon

 

Milk- ½ cup

 

Salt – a pinch

 

Vanilla Essence- 1 ½ tspoon

 

Butter-100gms(unsalted)

 

Note: All the ingredients should be in room temperature

 

Method

  

 

1.First sift all the dry ingredients together nearly 3 times and keep it aside

 

2.In a bowl , add butter with powdered sugar and beat ( using a beater) in medium speed.

 

(while beating,add powdered sugar in to butter a little at a time)

 

3.To this add eggs (one by one) and vanilla essence and beat . mix everything nicely.Do not beat so much.

 

4.then add milk and mix everything nicely

 

5.add the sifted dry ingredients little by little by folding.(while doing this fold in one direction)and mix everything nicely

 

6.Grease a 12’’ inch pan with butter and keep parchment paper into it

 

7.add the batter to this pan and bake in a oven which is preheated for 15 minutes in 180° for 35 mins or until its done
